The Sweetbriar Nature Center provides a variety of ways for the public to learn about and interact with the wild side of Long Island, and a fundraiser planned for this winter will help to fund its efforts.
The East Northport area Rock n’ Raptors Fundraiser will be filled with feathery fun, and it will be appropriate for all ages. Families, groups of friends, and anyone else who enjoys music may want to join the excitement of the afternoon, which will take place rain or shine.
The activity will see several live musicians from the local area take to the stage, and food will be on offer for purchase. There will be an assortment of games set up for the enjoyment of the ticket holders, and everyone can try their luck in the raffle draw. Information will be shared about wildlife and other environmental topics.
A themed event gives a not-for-profit group a fun way to raise both money and awareness. Pamphlets are often distributed to the attendees at fundraisers, and these can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
The Rock n’ Raptors Fundraiser will give Mother Nature a helping hand on Saturday, January 27. It will welcome the public from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at 1 Bates Road in Setauket. Admission is $25, although kids aged 12 and under may enter free of charge.
