A day full of fun is on the way for East Northport families, and while they are enjoying themselves, they will be learning about ways they can offer Mother Nature some much needed TLC.
Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery and Aquarium is a local site that offers a chance to learn more about the local environment and the animals and plants that call it home. Admission to the celebration is $7 for adults, and a special discount will be available for children and seniors as well.
Along with the hatchery’s usual exhibits and displays, there will be lots of extra activities to make the occasion special. A petting zoo, kids’ fishing station, and pumpkin patch will be open to visitors, and there will also be bouncy castles, games, music, and live animals will be on hand to meet the guests. A rain date has been planned in case of inclement weather, and the monies raised will help the hatchery and aquarium to continue to offer quality displays and programming to the public.
