April has been designated as Mental Health Awareness Month, and an East Northport gala will work to both smash the stigma surrounding mental illness and raise funds to support community causes as well.
Those in attendance at the Grow With Mental Health gala will be treated to a special evening, and the charities of choice for the festivities will be Suffolk County United Veterans and the Association for Mental Health. It will honor several community heroes, and tickets as well as sponsorship opportunities for the function are available.
The evening will kick off with a cocktail mixer, and the guests can mingle with friends and colleagues old and new. This will be followed by a five-course plated meal, as well as entertainment. A raffle will give the guests a chance to go home with a special prize. The suggested dress is cocktail smart or black tie.
