East Northport’s feline set will benefit from a raffle fundraiser that will support a local rescue group, and everyone who purchases a ticket will be doing a good turn for their furry friends in need.
Northport Cat Rescue’s even-split draw will raise funds to help meet the expenses of providing for the cats and kittens it helps throughout the year. It supplies its charges with shelter and other care while working to connect them with loving forever homes, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The tickets for the draw are $25 each, and the organizers explained that as only 1,000 will be sold, there is an increased chance of winning. The winner will receive half of the overall ticket sales earnings, and as the rest of the funds will go directly to providing care to homeless cats, the entire community will benefit as well.
It was noted that the winner does not have to live in New York to accept their prize, and tickets can be purchased online or by contacting the organization at (631)897-3085. A poster printing company can aid in spreading the word about this type of fundraiser to the community, which is often an important part of the success of the campaign.
