An East Northport area crafter who has discovered the benefits of candle making will be sharing this with the participants in an upcoming in-person workup.
A candle-making class that has been planned for Nest on Main in Northport will be facilitated by Danielle from “Spider and Olive.” The materials for the project will be provided, and the attendees can choose from a cotton or wooden wick for their piece.
The class will share the basics of safely making candles, and the wax used for the projects will be soy based. Learners can pick the healing crystals they wish to incorporate. Everyone will be treated to a cup of warm herbal tea and led through a relaxing candle-gazing meditation, and they can ask questions as well. The tickets for the afternoon are $60.54, and this includes ticket fees and taxes. The class will run for two hours.
Crafting classes offer the public a chance to both learn some skills and meet new friends who share their interest. A flyer printing company will be happy to lend a hand by supplying budget-friendly marketing materials.
This opportunity for those who would like to learn how to craft candles at home is scheduled for May 20. The registrants are asked to be onsite at 135 Main Street in Northport by 12:00 pm.
