The seashores around East Northport attract many beachcombers, and one of the items they often search for is sea glass. This can be used in a variety of projects, including jewelry making, and a workshop that is set to be hosted by Nest on Main will teach how it can be transformed into a colorful bracelet.
The Wood and Watch’s Rachel Kalina will be teaching a group of learners how they can use sea glass to make a charm style bracelet, and the event can be an idea for a girls’ night out. The materials needed will be supplied, but anyone who has some sea glass they would like to use are welcome to bring it along. The planners explained that it will need to already have a hole if it is to be used in this jewelry making workshop.
The group will be guided through the steps of making a charm bracelet, and they will utilize a basic wire wrapping technique. Pliers, jump rings, and chains will also be used to complete the bracelets, and those who register are asked to make sure they bring a pencil and sketchpad.
Tickets are now available for the DIY Beach Glass Bracelet workshop, and they can be purchased for $50 each. A flyer printing company will be able to design Flyers and other materials that can be a cost effective way of spreading the word to the community about a small event like this.
June 30 will see Nest on Main host this workshop, and it will begin at 2:30 pm. It can be found at 15 Main Street in Northport.
