East Northport area’s Tanger Outlets has made promoting family fitness a priority, and this September, it will be hosting an event that will get the community moving for a cause.
This year will see the business host its 10th annual Tanger FIT 5k Run/Walk, and the public is encouraged to gather their family, friends, neighbors and anyone else and head to the event. They can choose to run, walk, or roll along using an assistive device, and all are welcome.
The registration fee for the occasion starts at $25 and a discounted price is being offered for anyone who is 12 or under. Each participant will be given a 5K race pack, and the first 900 who arrive will also receive a T-shirt that has been specially designed for the day. A medal will be presented to each finisher, and a local printer’s graphic design department will be able to provide custom designed items like this.
Once the race is over, the runners, walkers, and rollers will be invited to stay for the complimentary cookout. This portion of the day will include award presentation and a variety of prize giveaways to thank the participants for their support.
This celebration of family fitness will be offered on September 30. The Location will be 152 The Arches Circle in Deer Park.
