Date set for East Northport area Shred and Shed

East Northport will soon be able to take an important step in home safety and security, thanks to a local event planned for this October.

The Office of Suffolk County Sheriff and Storage Quarters Records Management have teamed up to host Shred and Shed, which will be a time to dispose of unwanted documents and medications safely. These services will be on offer for free, and it will be a drive-through activity.

Anyone who would like to take advantage of the offer can bring up to two banker-sized Boxes of paperwork for shredding, and they can be dropped off at any time during the event’s three-hour schedule. The listing for the day notes that liquid medications, used needles and other sharps, creams, and sprays cannot be accepted. Unused medicines should be placed in a plastic bag. Any further questions about the activity can be directed to the organizers at (631) 351-307.

Communities often host special events for locals, and spreading the word about them can be made easier with assistance from a poster printing company. It can prepare materials that combine effectiveness with an economical price tag.

The upcoming Shred and Shed will be on offer on Tuesday, October 22 at 423 Park Avenue in Huntington. Items can be dropped off at the venue starting at 1:00 pm.
