Residents of Murray Hill and the surrounding area are being asked to open their heart and home to a cat that was recently rescued by members of the New York Police Department (NYPD) .
The feline, now named ‘Curry’ was one of two that were found in a home in the area of Flatbush-Ditmas Park. Both were injured, and the owner surrendered them to the police, who took them to the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group for treatment. After Curry was ready to be released, he spent a long time in recovery at the ASPCA animal hospital.
The second cat, now named Korma, is still recovering from his injuries.
Anyone in Murray Hill or the rest of Brooklyn who may interested in adopting a cat from the shelter are invited to come out to their Cat Day event on November 27, when there will be no adoption fee for any of them. The fee will continue to be waived for adult cats for the next two days, and will also be reduced for kittens. A company that designs and prints business Forms can produce ones for such an event.
According to those who have had the chance to get to know Curry at the ASPCA, he is a very loving and friendly cat who loves being around people. Mamy Nofi spoke for the shelter and remarked that Curry would be happiest in a home where he gets lots of attention and cuddling.Get a Free Quote for Forms
