A performer with decades in the business under her belt is arriving for a tour stop in Reno in late August.
Diana Ross started her career as the frontwoman of the Motown act The Supremes. Such was her star power, the group name was eventually altered to add hers at the front. In 1970, Ross began her ongoing time as a solo artist. Just two years later, she earned a nomination for an Academy Award with her performance portraying blues singer Billie Holiday.
Ross has amassed countless honors, with a few of the biggest being a pair of stars along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Kennedy Center Honor, a Presidential Medal of Freedom, a spot with her fellow members of The Supremes in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award.
A selection from the solo discography for Ross comes with tunes like “Endless Love” (with Lionel Richie), “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “I’m Coming Out,” and “Why Do Fools Fall In Love.”
The Diana Ross: Beautiful Love Performances - Legacy 2024 Tour will visit the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. Tickets start at $89.50 and go up to $399.50 at the time of writing. Many concerts will have a selection of the performer’s merchandise, including some items with the Logo Design of the tour on them. The show starts at 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 24.
