In just a few weeks, locals will be seeing a multiday experience return for the 17th time.
The Reno Latin Dance Fest (RLDF) is an event that celebrates the art of dancing through competitions, displays, training, and socially geared, fairly relaxed classes. BB & Kiki have served as the hosts from the start, with a goal of curating a high-quality and inclusive experience for people of any skill level.
Some of the styles of dance being highlighted at RLDF are salsa, bachata, cha-cha, cumbia, Cuban, mambo, hip-hop, contemporary, heels, ballet, and jazz.
Competitions in cha cha, bachata, salsa, and cumbia will take place. There are “Lead & Follow” contests and a “Salsanamá” event. Each comes with entry fees and either follows an “open” division policy, meaning everyone is mixed together, or is divided by skill level. Cash prizes are awarded to the top performer in each event. Spots can be purchased alongside tickets and other upgrades like classes on Eventbrite. RLDF also has its own website with a link to this page.
The available tickets, VIP upgrades, classes, and experiences range from $25 to $400. There are individual day passes as well as one that covers the entire event period. A common technique for promotion for many festivals is flyer printing.
The venue is Reno’s Silver Legacy Resort Casino. The gathering starts at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 9, running through the end of the day on Sunday, January 12.
