Reno to hold all-day bike riding event
Zephyr’s Ride Like The Wind event is set to take place next month in Reno.
Hosted by the Coffeebar Roastery, this day-long event will begin with a half-hour of pastries and coffees for all participants before everyone sets out on the first leg of this three-part bike riding event. For the first leg, participants will cycle 22 miles to Pyramid Trail on a combination of fire roads and pavement. For the second leg, cyclists will set out on a 25-mile ride to have lunch or snacks at the Coffeebar Truckee along with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. For the third and final leg, participants will ride for 26 miles from the Coffeebar Truckee to the Coffeebar Olympic Valley to eat, drink, and listen to music.
Tickets to the Reno event cost $25 per person. Participants are welcome to take part in one or all three parts of the bike ride. The event will be casual and non-competitive. Participants are recommended to bring sunscreen as well as any necessary tools and supplies to maintain their bikes during the ride if necessary. The organizers of similar outings often design and produce full-color printouts with poster printing to draw the attention of anyone who may be interested in joining.
