A convention celebrating a tasty dessert, as well as the art of decorating them, will be taking place in Reno in early March.
Cookie Con is an event where bakers, cookie artists, and those with a sweet tooth can come together and enjoy their favorite treat, as well as the process behind the crafting and decoration. It also offers the opportunity to learn about different techniques, and business aspects when it comes to selling the products.
The first day of the convention will end with a speech and orientation. There will be classes, a vendor space, a competition, raffles, demos, and panels. At the end of the four-day event, a closing speech and banquet will be held. Flyer printing is often used when promoting conventions like this.
There will also be opportunities for guests to meet top cooks, as well as get Books signed and participate in a wide variety of games. Prizes will be given out through several of the activities as well.
An attendee pass will cost $419 plus a $9.95 processing fee. Any of the classes that buyers choose to add on will have their own prices, which can be found on the event website, and they will also have the fee. For those only interested in shopping on the vendor floor, a two-day pass is available for $20.
The event requires masks and temperature screenings. The Peppermill Resort will host Cookie Con from March 2 to 5.
