Musical legend to take new tour to Reno

A star in the fields of music, television/film, and Broadway will be heading out on the road, with a show in late March set for a local venue.

Reba McEntire is a businesswoman, songwriter, actress, and singer. Despite a slow start within the realm of country music, she pushed forward and continued to put out records. As her tunes began to rise on the charts, so did her number of accolades. In January of 1986, McEntire was made a member of The Grand Ole Opry, also taking home her 3rd CMA for “Female Vocalist of the Year” and her first for “Entertainer of the Year” just months later in October.

While continuing to pursue her recording career, McEntire also branched out into acting, taking on roles in projects such as “Tremors,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Charlotte’s Web,” and “North.” A few of the hit records from across her career include “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia,” “Consider Me Gone,” “Forever Love,” and “He Gets That From Me.”

The latest tour from McEntire will be visiting the Reno Events Center. The concert will also feature sets from The Isaacs and Terri Clark. Tickets to this performance can be purchased via Ticketmaster. Pricing for the available seats at the time of writing ranges from $289 to $2,044. Merchandise such as T-Shirts and hoodies are often printed with a graphic design relating to the performing acts and are sold at music events.

The curtains are set to open at 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 23.
