Multi-genre musician takes tour through Reno
A performer who works across several music genres is bringing his tour to Reno in mid June.
Elvis Costello is a musician, songwriter, and singer, and has been recording and performing his tunes since the 1970s. Throughout his career, Costello has explored a number of styles in his music.
Costello’s stage name is a tribute to fellow star Elvis Presley and his great-grandmother (Costello was her maiden name). Amongst his achievements are a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (with The Attractions), a position as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and several Grammy Awards.
Some of the songs within Costello’s discography are “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” “Less Than Zero,” “So Like Candy,” “Waiting For The End Of The World,” and “My Funny Valentine.”
Elvis Costello & The Imposters will be traveling to Reno’s Silver Legacy Casino. Charlie Sexton will join the show as an opening act. Tickets that are available at the time of writing start at $54.59 and go up to $328.21. The platform where tickets are sold is Ticketmaster. Many artists will hire a printing service to put their tour’s logo design onto a selection of merchandise, which they will sell at tables inside each show’s venue. The concert will be kicking off at 7:00pm on June 15th.
