Famous film tunes to feature in Reno concert

A collection of popular music will be put together by a local group for a set of immersive shows in Reno in late June.

“Disney in Concert - A Dream is a Wish” is an event bringing together pieces of iconic movies both visually and through song. Singers will join The Reno Phil, a local symphony orchestra, as they perform hits from Disney projects like Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Princess and the Frog, and Sleeping Beauty. The concert will be led by Laura Jackson, the music director of the organization, in the conductor position.

Tickets are available through the box office of The Reno Phil, as well as on the venue’s website. Pricing ranges between $43 and $82. A special price of $30 is available for guests who are aged 15 or younger, but this is not available online and can only be taken advantage of by visiting or calling the box office.

The venue for the performances will be the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Flyer and brochure printing will often be done when working to promote concerts. The starting times for each performance are 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm on June 24, with the doors opening 60 minutes beforehand for each of the two shows.
