The eighth annual Albuquerque Half Marathon is scheduled to take place in the city next month.
This event will kick off with the half marathon followed by a 10K run, a 5K run or walk, and a kids’ K. Avid runners will enjoy the relative flatness of the running course with only a few small slopes and no steep hills.
Race registration for the half marathon costs $75 per person of any age and $120 for a two-person relay team. For the 5K and 10K runs, individuals can register at $35 per person. For those who wish to participate in a 5K walk, registration costs $35 for adults and $25 for kids age 17 and younger. Children 12 and younger can participate in the kids’ K for $15.
Participants who drive to the event can park at Sagebrush Church and walk to the starting line prior to the Albuquerque race. The course will wind through the North Valley neighborhood, Albuquerque Open Space, and the Village of Los Ranchos. Brochure printing is often used by the organizers of such events to provide participants with necessary race details and dates.
Those who signed up for the 5K and 10K races can park at the Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church.
This event is scheduled to take place at Alvarado Elementary School on Saturday, April 4 starting at 8:00 am.
