The city of Albuquerque is once again hosting an evening in which hundreds of people come out to celebrate dining in an elegant atmosphere.
Later this summer, the community will play host to its second ever ‘Diner en Blanc’, or ‘Dinner in White’. During this event, participants will come out to a specially chosen location, all of whom are dressed in white to enjoy an evening of socializing with friends over a glass of wine and a meal.
These dinners started in first started 20 years ago in France, and there is a very strict criteria that a city must meet to be chosen as one that will play host to one. Tradition holds that the venue is not announced until the night of the event, and this year is no different, although a preview party took place at Sandia BMW to help build the excitement about the evening.
Last year, the gala was hosted at the Balloon Fiesta Park, and hundreds of people came out to celebrate. It is hoped that this year, the dinner will prove to be just as much of a success.
This year’s Diner en Blanc will be held on August 27. A banner printing firm can produce decorations and other items that easily fit into the overall elegant and simple “white” theme of the evening.
