Beginning next month, a weekly team-based robotics competition will be held hosted by Electric Playhouse and Be Greater Than Average.
A reservation provides a robot battle team with a private table, assisted instruction, a robot and the team’s name listed among those to do battle on that night. After choosing and accessorizing their team’s robot, players will take part in bot matches against other robot battle teams. The Bots & Brews Albuquerque league season will conclude with the leaderboard’s top team in each category taking part in the final event to win the overall competition.
Participants and bystanders will be expected to adhere to public health orders in connection with COVID-19. Flyer printing services are ideal for limited capacity events, as the advertising can be easily targeted.
After a team’s competition, each will have the option to test-drive super-robots and explore other immersive experiences. Plus, subject to availability, private room playing is another option. For those who want to extend the fun, it will be possible to purchase and build their own battling bot, to practice with at home.
Those who would like to check out Bots & Brews but are not ready to commit to a battle can come and support their favorite teams. Food and drink can be purchased in addition to immerse games from Electric Playhouse available for play.
The first competition will take place June 10, from 7:00 to 8:30pm, after which it runs every Thursday until July 1.
