Award-winning author hosts book reading in Albuquerque

Rachel Kushner, author of Creation Lake and other literary works, is coming to Albuquerque’s Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm in July for a book reading event.

Kushner, whose other works include The Mars Room and The Flamethrowers, will read from her books, participate in a Q&A with the audience, and sign books during the event set in the outdoors.

Active as an author for more than 20 years, Kushner has picked up a number of accolades over the years, including winning the Prix Medicis. She was also a finalist for a number of other awards, such as the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Booker Prize, the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, the Folio Prize, and the James Tait Black Prize.

Kushner is an author of both fiction — published in the pages of the New Yorker and the Paris Review — and nonfiction, having written pieces for New York Times Magazine and Harpers.

In addition to her novels, she has also published a book of short stories, The Strange Case of Rachel K, and a collection of essays called The Hard Crown.

Literature showcase events like these may choose to use printing services for everything from promotion to creating copies of book excerpts to read from.

The Rachel Kushner book reading event is happening on Monday, July 7 at 6:00 pm at the Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm at 4803 Rio Grande Blvd NW in Albuquerque.
