Albuquerque to host annual art festival

The 2020 Low Rez Pop-up Arts Festival is scheduled to take place in Albuquerque next month.

This yearly festival was created by the Mothership Alumni, an organization that centers on New Mexican art. Additional hosts of the event include the ABQartwalk, the Up Gallery, Unify Mountain Soundz, and the Sub Assembly.

For its fifth year, the 2020 Albuquerque Low Rez Pop-up Arts Festival will feature exhibits from a diverse variety of vendors, from first timers to long-time artists who create unconventional works. Festivalgoers will receive the chance to browse and purchase art pieces. Hosts of festivals frequently create innovative advertising materials through the use of poster printing.

Artists who apply for a place in the Low Rez Pop-up Arts Festival must submit photos of their best works. All vendors who take part in the event must pay a fee of $25 to set up an exhibit of up to three pieces of art. For any sales made, each artist will take home 65% of the sales profits.

Tickets to the event are available online for free, or at $12 for the inclusion of the Low Rez Swag Bag.

The Low Rez Pop-up Arts Festival is set to occur at the Mothership Alumni on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 from 6:00 pm to midnight on both days.
