An upcoming festival that celebrates all things Celtic is planned for the city of Albuquerque.
The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival and Highland Games will give people from across New Mexico a chance to learn more about the culture, food, music, and other contributions that those from Celtic countries have made to the USA.
There will be dancers, pipers and other performers in traditional costumes, as well as a variety of Highland games, such as the caber toss, the Scottish hammer, and the sheaf toss. There will also be a rugby tournament, a display of British classic cars, food, and a variety of vendors who will have booths set up where they can display and sell their works. A company that designs and produces ad specialties can create a wide variety of promotional items and souvenirs that can be sold during events such as this.
The event’s volunteer coordinator has put out a call looking for anyone who may be willing to lend a hand. Those who may be interested in attending the festival as a vendor or acting as a sponsor are also welcome to contact the event’s organizers to fill out an application.
Anyone who would like further details about the festival, which will be held at Balloon Fiesta Park on May 21, is invited to visit the event's website for more information.
