This year will be the third annual FarmStrong Oktoberfest run held at Rio Grande Community Farms in Albuquerque. The farm is a community space as well as a non-profit organization. There will be three runs: a 10K, a 5K, and a fun run.
The 10K and 5K runs both come with the added lure of beer and bratwursts at the end as part of the celebration of Oktoberfest. These courses also have hay bales that participants are allowed to jump over.
The fun run does not have the hay bales, but it is open to all ages, and is dog-friendly. At the end of this race, there will be root beer floats and hot dogs.
All three races will take place outdoors and will begin before noon. The 10K begins at 9:30 am, the 5K at 10:00 am, and the fun run at 11:15 am. Tickets are currently available for this event, and are $40 for the 10K, $30 for the 5K, and $20 for the fun run.
This type of event often uses flyer printing in order to mail Flyers to their members, or have Flyers out in a communal space. Parking spaces may be limited at the event, so attendees should check ahead of time. Flyers may also be sent to previous participants. This event is scheduled for October 26.
