Residents of Albuquerque and the surrounding area who enjoy solving puzzles will now have a chance to do so on a grand scale.
The NM Escape Room recently opened its doors to the public, allowing people an opportunity to try their hand at this new idea in entertainment. Participants form groups of between two to eight people, and they have a total of 60 minutes in a locked room to discover all the clues they will need to follow in order to escape.
According to the owner of the business, Darren Guido, about a quarter of those who try to escape are able to do so, and the fastest time so far has been 47 minutes and 35 seconds.
To date, one room, with a Victorian theme, has been built and equipped, and two more are planned for the future. The idea for them is that one will have a 70s feel, while the other will be geared towards horror fans. A flyer printing firm can create a variety of printed materials that promote this new concept in entertainment to the public.
This is the first escape room style attraction in the whole state of New Mexico, and the owner notes that it is perfect for date nights and corporate team building events, and it is designed to be suitable for all ages.
