Albuquerque Christmas event prioritizes accessibility

The organizer of the Winter Wonderland event at a central Albuquerque venue is touting the experience as a milestone attraction for being accessible to everyone.

Kori Kobayashi explained that the family-friendly holiday event is unique in not only Albuquerque, but the entire state.

Whether it’s taking a photo with Santa Clause, commuting through the 300-foot-long light tunnel, or enjoying a cup of hot cocoa from a local vendor, there’s a sprinkle of wintertime bliss for everyone, organizers said.

Holiday events like these require poster printing and logo designs to help get the word out through marketing.

Kobayashi said the holiday attraction represents the first one of its kind in the area to offer both a drive-through and walking experience, which is more accessible for everyone in the family.

To really bring the imagination of the holiday season alive, actors are bringing to life classic characters roaming around, including Disney Princesses and Santa Clause.

The entertainment also provides an opportunity to give back, as Toys for Tots boxes at the event accept toy donations are being given directly to the organization with cash. A portion of the ticket proceeds go toward Animal Humane New Mexico and Ronald McDonald House Charities New Mexico.

The event will take place at Expo New Mexico and will run from December 5-December 29 and tickets, ranging from $30-$90, can be bought online.
