Somerville unveils new downtown apartment building

Representatives from Sterling Properties, Somerville Mayor Dennis Sullivan, and other municipal officials recently held a ceremonial ribbon cutting of a new luxury rental building, SOMA, that has 69 units.

The building has upscale studio, one- and two- bedroom apartments, each of which features stainless steel appliances, tall ceilings, and a washer and dryer in every unit. There are also many other recreational amenities on site such as a state-of-the-art fitness center and a technology lounge.

SOMA is within walking distance of the Main Street Corridor and the city’s Division Street Plaza as well as being close to the New Jersey Transit train service. Brochure printing can be used to offer more details about such projects and their rental pricing.

Mayor Sullivan commented that this has been a very successful project in that it will generate revenue, it is oriented towards public transportation, and has been a redevelopment project. Sterling Properties was a great partner in that the company was able to transform the property into an attractive residential building that is close to the train station and the downtown area.

Director of Sales and Marketing for Sterling Properties, Nick Hollenbeck, added that SOMA meets LEED Gold standards and provides a bike share program so residents can bike to the downtown area, shop locally, and also save on the cost for gas.
