The Old Dutch Parsonage in Somerville will organize a community tea-themed activity where people can learn about American protests in 1774.
Tea Burning & Tea Tasting is a program that teaches attendees about American history while showcasing different types of historic teas. The presentation will discuss how the importation of tea led to the Boston Tea Party and several other tea-burning events. Guests will get to enjoy the teas featured in the Boston Tea Party and may visit the Old Dutch Parsonage during its festive open house. The event is presented by the store Tea-for-All in Trenton.
Tea-for-All is a company owned by Deborah and Michael Raab that connects people with different kinds of tea and offers educational programs about the beverage. The store was founded in 2011 and has a physical tasting bar in Lawrence. Several Tea Discovery Classes are held by Tea-for-All, such as Blooming and Floral Teas, Chai & Latte Tea Drinks, and A Black Tea Affair. Other workshops by the company discuss topics like how to create iced tea and the health benefits of tea.
The presentation on the tea-burning protests will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 3:15 pm, and the tea-tasting session will take place at 4:15 pm. There is no registration required to join Deborah and Michael Raab’s lecture. Historic landmarks that organize presentations such as this may use poster printing services to share these events with their communities.
