A nature walk and bird-watching experience is being planned near Somerville, and area residents eager to enjoy spring weather are invited to join.
The Early Migrants Walk, organized by Duke Farms, will welcome participants in the coming weeks to witness the migration of several bird species while enjoying a relaxing and rejuvenating time in nature. Guests can recruit their favorite adventure friends to join the experience, where all visitors will look for warblers, songbirds, wading birds, raptors, and other winged creatures along the planned route.
Registration is required for all interested parties, and those who cannot make it are asked to inform the organizers on the days leading up to the walk. The walk will proceed with rain or shine, though it may be canceled in the event of severe weather. Attendees are asked to check the weather and dress for the conditions. Printing services are a cost-effective way to promote such events and build awareness around the town.
Lindsay McNamara, who has over 12 years of experience in conservation, development, communications, and environmental non-profits, will lead the walk. She has been birding since she was nine years old.
The walk will be held at Duke Farms in Hillsborough Township on Saturday, March 15. The walk will start at 7:00 AM and end at 9:00 AM. Registration is open online for $20 per person.
