The BioCentriq process development and clinical manufacturing center of gene and cell therapies of the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is now open in Newark.
Poster printing is often favored by those at such institutions to display throughout a community and inform residents of new developments.
The mission of BioCentriq is to enable academia, developers of technology, regulatory agencies, and those in industry to collaborate to further the development and manufacturing of gene and cell therapies. Dr. Haro Hartounian, general manager and senior vice president of BioCentriq, expressed his thrill about being able to open the center when there is a great demand for the development and clinical manufacturing of gene and cell therapies, which exceeds the current capacity of such existing organizations. He added that the goal is to provide a space where innovative technologies and approaches can make emerging therapeutics available to those who are in desperate need of them.
The facilities of BioCentriq feature two suites that adhere to good manufacturing practices and have been qualified and validated. BioCentriq also has a process development center in South Brunswick, which was opened earlier this year and has been actively supporting a variety of projects.
In addition, a professional graduate certificate and professional science master’s degree programs are offered by the NJII.
