Construction of the Center for Student Success at Hudson County Community College (HCCC) in Jersey City is now underway.
The Center for Student Success will be a mixed-use tower of 11 stories and will span 153,186 square feet. It will have 24 classrooms, common spaces for students, expanded areas for student services, a fitness center, and a full-size gymnasium in keeping with National College Athletics Association standards. There will also be 85 offices, health science laboratories, eight conference rooms, and a University Center for partners and sister colleges to offer instruction for baccalaureate degrees.
The center is one block from the Journal Square PATH station on an existing parking lot owned by HCCC. It will replace several of the segregated, smaller, and older buildings at the college. Local Print shops can assist with creating Flyers and Brochures to offer further details about such buildings and their benefits.
Dr. Christopher M. Reber, president of HCCC, said that the goal of the Center for Student Success is to consolidate and centralize all student services in one location that is convenient for all students, and to complement the architecture of the area. He added that this building will complete the HCCC Facilities Master Plan and pointed, out that the county of Hudson has been a partner of the college throughout its development.
