The annual Garden Party in Jersey City will be at White Eagle Hall next month. Screaming Females will be the featured performers joined by Radioactivity, No Men, and Mal Blum to present a unique evening of rock and roll.
Jarrett of Screaming Females said that both the music and the weather can be bleak in New Jersey during the winter months. The group decided four years ago to create two shows at the Monty Hall, a small venue in Jersey City run by the radio station WFMU. The group enjoyed performing and many people came to the shows from both the city and surrounding communities, prompting the group to make this an annual event every February.
Jarett added that the concert will be even bigger for 2020 so that it will be at a larger venue. Three of the group’s favorite bands are being added to the concert in hopes of maintaining its success so that the Garden Party can continue for many years to come.
Venues such as White Eagle Hall might consider using flyer printing to attract young people to special concerts such as this one. The Garden Party will be on February 22 beginning at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm and tickets are currently available for purchase with prices ranging from $20 to $22.
