Oktoberfest comes to Jersey City this month

The waterfront property at the Harborside will be the place to be later this week at the Jersey City Craft Beer Festival.

The festival focuses on craft beer and features over 150 types of cider and beer from local establishments. Guests are provided a four-ounce tasting cup for the price of admission and then are able to try these beverages from Double Nickle, NJ Beer Co., Hoboken Brewing, and many others.

In addition to samples of beer, guests can enjoy interactive games and live entertainment as part of the price for admission. Food from many local vendors will be available for purchase. The festival is next to PATH and light rail train stations and so is also easily accessible by public transportation.

The price for admission is $65 with designated driver tickets available for $15. The designated driver receives a bottle of water in lieu of a tasting glass but gets a different colored wristband. They can enjoy all the activities of the festival without the ability to drink any beer.

The festival will take place this Saturday, April 21 with sessions from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. and then from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m.
