Innovation hub reaches new heights in Jersey City

Vertical construction on the SciTech Scity innovation hub in Jersey City has been completed.

This is a set of two buildings, each 12 stories high, that are part of the development on the edge of Liberty State Park. It is just south of the Liberty Science Center and will be a mixed-use development that will have 4,000 square feet of retail space and 500 residences for rent with modern amenities.

Alpine Residential is the developer of this project and was selected by Liberty Science Center in 2021 to develop Scholars Village as the component with a residential nature of SciTech Scity. SciTech Scity is an innovation campus spanning 30 acres that was created through a partnership between the city of Jersey City and Liberty Science Center and was designed to connect technology companies, students, and scientists in a live-work-learn environment that is fully integrated.

The broader campus will include the Liberty Science Center High School, an academy that focuses on STEM; the Liberty Science Center, which is the largest interactive science center in the tri-state area and the largest cultural center in the city; Edge Works, an incubation hub for business; and three acres of outdoor activities that foster collaboration, innovation, creativity, and exploration.
