Hoboken full of construction and other activities

Two new retail establishments are coming to Hoboken, and residents of Jersey City will not want to miss these shopping opportunities.

Ground has been broken for a new showroom for The Shade Room on Washington Street. The existing building at the location has been gutted for renovations, which will continue over the next several months. The property is just over 1,000 square feet in size and will feature draperies, shades, and customizable blinds to complete the interior design of any home.

This will be the 76th such store for the chain. There are others in Summit, Paramus, and Montclair in New Jersey and on the Upper East Side in New York City.

Café Vista will be coming to The Mile Square on Monroe Street. It will be a coffee shop selling sandwiches, desserts, baked goods, and coffee. An opening date has yet to be announced. Banner printing can be used at such sites to make the community aware of upcoming shops.

The third annual Hoboken Pizza Fest will be taking place later this month. There will be games, live music, swag, and a team pizza-eating contest. Custom Pizza Fest tee-shirts and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Pizza Fest will take place on Saturday November 16 and will be raising funds for the Party With Purpose, a non-profit that support charities for local children.
