Directional sign installed in downtown Jersey City

New signage has been unveiled by the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District (HDSID) of Jersey City that helps consumers to find their way to dining and shopping in the district. The new sign is on Newark Avenue on the Grove Street PATH Plaza.

The HDSID is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing and revitalizing the historic part of Jersey City. Many services are offered by the HDSID that range from business support to cultural events, all of which are designed to improve the quality if life for residents of and visitors to Jersey City and to be a mechanism for community development and economic growth.

Local Print shops often assist such organizations in spreading the word about such new signage throughout the community with Flyers and other printed materials.

The sign is easy to read and has a map of the downtown district and a directory with listings of retail establishments, restaurants, and services/ Its location is optimal for people coming downtown. It also offers information of a directional nature to places such as the PATH train station, the Newark Pedestrian Plaza, and City Hall.

MiT Communications designed the sign as part of a broader initiative for branding to showcase the district. It also includes Signs for events downtown and elsewhere in the city. by Michael Sylvester of Kraftwork Custom Designs engineered and installed the sign.
