Hohokus morning event planned in support of some tiny residents
Some of the Hohokus area’s tiniest residents are in need of a helping hand, and the James A. McFaul Environmental Center will be the location of an event that will help to provide local bees with what they need to be happy.
Those who attend the function will be led through sessions of Qi Gong as well as gentle yoga postures and stretches. The activity will take place outdoors in the serene atmosphere of the pavilion and pond, and guided meditation will also be included. All skill levels are welcome.
The ticket price for the morning session will be $12.00, and the monies will be used to help purchase bee colonies for the site along with equipment that will be used to ensure they get off to a good start. This includes brood boxes, brushes, frames and protective gear. It will also aid in buying trees, bushes and smaller plants for the center that flower in the spring, as this will help to ensure the bees have the food they need early in the season.
The session will begin at 9:00 am, and those who will be participants are asked to bring along a mat as well as a bottle of water and a towel or blanket to sit on. Flyer printing that can promote an activity like this can be supplied by a local printer.
This morning of tranquility in support of the miniature pollinators will be held on May 12. Further details can be fund by visiting its online listing.
