Hohokus invited to attend pet adoption drive

Hohokus households that could use a furry friend may find just the companion animal they are looking for when they stop by an area adoption event.

Allendale Veterinary Hospital has partnered with several area shelters, rescue and rehoming groups to help animals in need of a second chance connect with a loving, "forever home”. It will welcome the public for three hours, and even if they aren't ready to adopt, everyone is still encouraged to drop by.

The function will see grassroots level organizations set up shop, and they will have tables and other displays that give information about their work. An ice cream truck will be scooping up sweet treats, and many of the participating rescues will be distributing promotional products and other swag to the crowd. Everyone can meet an assortment of adoptable pets as well as others who also care about animals and also learn how they can get involved, even if they can’t adopt right now.

Fairs, festivals and other public events often go a long way towards raising awareness of a cause. A printing services company will be happy to help take care of the marketing side of the equation.

The crew at Allendale Veterinary Hospital will be helping Fido and Fluffy find forever homes of their own on September 28th. It is located at 120 W. Allendale Avenue, and starts at 10:00 am.
