Hohokus explores joys of water gardening

Hohokus gardeners looking for their next challenge, or those who simply appreciate the quiet beauty of a pond, are invited to be part of an event that will help them get their feet wet.

Fitz Fish Ponds recently announced its first annual Plant Fest. This new activity will run for two days, both of which will be open to the public for six hours.

While they browse through the plants and other displays, attendees may be inspired to add a water feature to their own garden, even if it is just a desktop fountain. Admission will be free, and there will be a variety of aquatic and houseplants available for purchase. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer questions, and while they stroll along, the crowds can watch the resident koi swim peacefully. There will be seminars to sit in on, and prize draws and food trucks will round out the weekend.

Water and other types of specialized gardening may call for custom designed Packaging materials. These may include plant and fish care tip sheets, Bags to carry home live plants, and also Promotional Products such as reusable cloth shopping Totes.

Fitz Fish Ponds at 74 East Allendale Road, Saddle River will be hosting its first Plant Fest on May 2 and 3, and both days will run from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Its Patch listing offers more details.
