Hohokus offered retirement bootcamp sessions

Hohokus’s older adults looking forward to their retirement are invited to attend a two-part series that will be a bootcamp-style introduction to retirement planning.

Ridgewood High School has provided space for the Retirement Planning Boot Camp Advanced Series, and a fee of $40 is being charged for both sessions. These monies will all be donated to the school, and the goal is for everyone to walk away with a better understanding of how to prepare for their “golden years.”

The facilitator for the workshops will discuss a variety of topics, including transitioning to Medicare as well as long-term care and how to plan for future expenses. Maximizing Social Security benefits and estate planning will be covered, and designing a financial strategy that allows for an adequate retirement income will be on the agenda as well. Everyone will learn what pitfalls to avoid, and there will be time for questions.

When preparing for a workshop, organizers often order custom materials from stationery printers that provide in-house graphic design options. These can range from texts and manuals to certificates of completion.

The first session of the Retirement Planning Boot Camp Advanced Series will be held on Thursday, November 13th, and the second is set for the following Thursday, November 20th. Both will begin at 7:00 pm, and more details can be found on the Patch listing.
