The Fair Lawn Senior Center will be holding several events this month.
A Creative Writing Workshop will be presented by Pen For Narrative, a high school club at Bergen County Academies that uses writing to connect the community. People are encouraged to attend to express themselves through their writing. The pieces written during the workshop will be collected and made into a magazine that will be printed.
The workshop will be held at the Fair Lawn Center on Gardiner Road on Saturday, January 17 from 11:00 am to noon.
The Fair Lawn Senior Center will also be hosting a series of events called Monday Movies. The first film shown will be “A Chorus Line,” a drama and a musical. This film features Michael Douglas, Micheal Blevins, and Terrance Mann, and was released in 1985. The runtime of this movie is 1 hour and 58 minutes, and will be shown on Thursday January 15.
The other movie this month will be “O Brother, Where Art Thou,” an adventure with both comedy and drama and some music. The cast of this film includes John Goodman, Tim Blake Nelson, John Turturro, Holly Hunter, and George Clooney. The film was released in 2000. The runtime of the move is 1 hour and 47 minutes. This movie will be shown on Monday, January 26. Both movies begin at 1:00 pm.
Such special events can be promoted throughout a community with poster printing.
