New mixed-use development comes to Fair Lawn

A loan in the amount of $66.9 million loan has been secured by Danbro Properties and Sterling Properties for the development of Plaza Greene in Fair Lawn.

This will be a transit-oriented and age-restricted project of 145 units. The project is already under construction and replaces Dealz/RailYard, a decaying mall that was demolished in May. It had been designated by the Borough Council as needing to be redeveloped in 2020.

The units at Plaza Greene will have one and two bedrooms as well as studios and feature walk-in closets and stainless-steel appliances. The property will be accessible by wheelchair and its additional amenities will include a yoga and fitness studio, golf simulator, spa area, sauna and cold plunge pool, a deck on the rooftop, and underground parking.

There will also be 24,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor with a Sprouts Farmers Market, spanning 22,300 square feet, as the anchor.

The Radburn NJ Transit train station will be adjacent to Plaza Greene. It will also have easy access to many interstate and other routes, including Interstate 80, Route 17, Route 4, and Route 208. Less than 20 miles away is downtown Manhattan.
