The site is on the corner of Plaza Road and Fair Lawn Avenue. It was previously known as the Dealz Property and was home to a Grand Union Supermarket, Rute Aid, and Dollar Tree over the last 60 years. The new project will replace an old L-shaped strip mall and will be a mixed-use development with 145 age-restricted units for those who are 55 years of age and older.
Plaza Greene is transit oriented as it is next to the New Jersey Radburn train station. It will have a Sprouts Farmers Market, the first in Bergen County, and underground parking. Sprouts Farmers Market is a specialty supermarket chain that offers organic and natural food.

Chair of the Board of Fair Lawn Main Street, Gail Rottenstrich, said:
“This transformational redevelopment will revitalize the Fair Lawn Avenue portion of the Special Improvement District, bringing a much-needed grocery store back to the center of Fair Lawn, as well as housing for residents over 55 and for people with special needs.”
Mayor Cristina Cutrone said that this project advances several long-term goals to bring new public and retail spaces to this significant part of the town, provide housing options for older adults, and improve connections for pedestrians between the downtown and the train station.
