Updated emergency department open in Fair Lawn area

The newly expanded Emergency Department of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is now open. This facility will be of significant benefit to residents of nearby Fair Lawn.

This project nearly doubled the size of the existing department and has added specialized spaces for patients experiencing crises in mental health. It also increases the licensed capacity of the department from 18 beds to 46 beds, which will enhance its ability to provide emergency care. The department has been redesigned to include dedicated spaces for pediatric and senior care, and dedicated behavioral health and medical treatment areas, that will enable implementation of the EmPATH behavioral health model for neurodivergent patients.

Brochure printing is an ideal way to highlight such new features and their benefits for patients.

The president and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Deborah Visconi, said that this expanded department represent the commitment of the hospital to compassionate care, access, and readiness when it is most needed. She added that the hospital cares for everyone in the county who comes to the department. Visconi pointed out that the new department separates behavioral health and medical emergencies to ensure patients are treated in dignified and appropriate environments.

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is the largest hospital in New Jersey and is owned by the county. It works closely with the state on care for vulnerable populations, behavioral health access, and emergency preparedness.
