Veterans expo comes to Fair Lawn

A Veterans Information and Outreach Fair will be held by the Fair Lawn Veterans Affairs Department in a few days’ time.

The Fair is free and open to all military personnel and veterans regardless of their residency, and is designed to provide assistance in finding resources, programs and services that they may need.

There will be two presentations, the first at 9:30 am and the second at 11:30 am.

The first one will be a roundtable discussion and will allow for questions and answers from attendees. Some of the members of the panel include Joe Restivo, Veteran Service Officer for the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs; Anne Burns, Female Veteran Information of Vets Chat & Chew; and Frank Quadrino, Community Outreach Manager for the Veterans Administration of the New Jersey Healthcare System.

For those who cannot attend the first session at 9:30 am, it will be repeated at 11:30 am.

There will also be exhibitors who will provide information on such topics as college programs, employment, referral and social services, and veteran benefit entitlements. Printing Brochures on these and other topics will enable attendees to have material they can take home with them to refer to a future time.

The Fair will be held at the Fair Lawn Community Center, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 7.
