The Skyline Theatre Company in Fair Lawn will be holding its annual ‘Broadway in Bergen’ fundraiser and gala this month.
The evening will feature performances from stars of current musicals that are hits on Broadway. Jim Stanek, from ‘Fun Home’ on Broadway will be the host. A catered cocktail reception begins the evening, which will be followed by a concert celebrating the music of Stephen Sondheim, due in part to the next mainstage production of the Theatre, which will be ‘Sweeney Todd’. It will include a cast of professional actors and a choir of 20 people accompanied by a chamber orchestra.
Among the performers of evening will be Danny Rutigliano from ‘The Lion King’, Brigid Harrington from ‘Mary Poppins’, Jennifer Hope Wills from ‘Wonderful Town’, and Michele McConnell from ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.
The annual Horizon Award held by the Theatre will be given to ArtPride New Jersey. This award recognizes an organization or individual that demonstrates exceptional support of the Theatre, as well as its programs and mission. President and CEO of ArtPride New Jersey, Adam Perle, will be accepting the award on behalf of his organization.
The gala and fundraiser will be held on Monday, April 11 beginning at 7:00 pm. Skyline might benefit from the assistance of a local Print company to advertise and promote the gala with Flyers and mailers that can be sent out to the community.
