Mayor Gail Rottenstrich expressed her excitement that the state has recognized the ability of Fair Lawn to make positive changes with this Activation and Planning Grant. Rottenstrich added that stakeholders in the borough are meeting with local street design organization Arterial to understand its vision and share their view of the project so that it will be an excellent partnership.
Fair Lawn Main Street Executive Director, Ryan Greff, said that Arterial will create a Capital Improvement Plan driven by the community that will provide information about the improvements to the street. This may include improvements to the lighting, the sidewalk, public art, furniture, the calming of traffic, and other elements. In the plan will be color renderings, street plans, an order of magnitude for the costs of the project, phasing, and other elements that would be need so that additional grants and sources of funding can be pursued.
There will be three important phases of the project. The first will be the planning and pre-design stage. The second will be the collection of data, observations, and the third will be analysis and the development of the Capital Improvement Plan.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
