Fair for veterans comes to Fair Lawn

The borough of Fair Lawn recently announced that it will be holding a Veterans Information and Outreach Fair later this year.

According to the veterans affair liaison for Fair Lawn, Nick Magarelli, the fair will provide programs, resources, and other services that veterans need and to which they are entitled, but that they may not be aware of. The hope is that veterans will come to the fair and take advantage of these opportunities.

Topics already lined up include assistance with post-traumatic stress disorder, social services, college programs, and health and homecare for veterans. The New Jersey State Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Bergen County Clerk’s office (which will be offering identification cards for veterans), Bergen County Veterans Services, and the Veterans Administration New Jersey Health Care System are all scheduled to attend.

This will be a good opportunity for these providers to use brochure printing companies to Print a range of informational material that the veterans can take away with them from the fair.

Magarelli added that local businesses are also welcome to attend to demonstrate their support and appreciation for these important members of the community.

The fair will be on May 7 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Fair Lawn Community Center. There is no cost to attend the fair and it is open to military personnel and veterans regardless of whether they are residents of Fair Lawn or not.
