Westfield residents invited to be part of local history

The world has changed a lot in the last few months, and the Westfield Historical Society is seeking their public’s help in documenting the experience of COVID-19 as it happens.

The organization keeps a historical record of the community and the events that impact it, and it is asking the public to get involved as well. They can do so anonymously or include their name, and they will be able to use the society’s email or Google Drive to do so.

People are asked to submit photos, videos, drawings, poems, essays and other materials related to Westfield during the pandemic, and these items will be kept as part of the historical record. All submissions will be appreciated, and they will be sorted and stored for future reference. They can be sent to the attention of Robert Wendel, who is a Trustee with the Historical Society undertaking the project.

This sort of activity is often helpful in creating a historical reference, and since the whole area can get involved, it tends to play a role in building a strong and connected community. A poster printing company will be able to let the public know how they can get involved by crafting Posters and other materials.

The Westfield Historical Society is currently undertaking this project, and all submissions will be welcome. They can be sent to westfieldhistoricalsociety@gmail.com or uploaded to the society’s Google Drive through a link contained on its website.
