A Clark area establishment that has become a local tradition will be opening its doors for another season, and to celebrate, it will be running a special donation drive.
Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard is set to open for its 2026 season in mid-February and will be collecting donations for the Woodbridge Animal Shelter. The festivities will be running throughout their scheduled date.
The organizers of the drive have put together a list of items that are in high demand at the shelter, which include wet and dry dog and cat foods, treats, supplies for cleaning such as paper towels and garbage Bags, and gift cards for establishments that sell pet supplies will also be welcomed. Monetary donations will be appreciated as well, and each person who drops by with a contribution will receive a VIP discount savings card that will be valid at the venue for the 2026 season. These will be distributed for as long as supplies last.
A donation drive can help a not-for-profit group to collect both monetary donations and the contribution of supplies and other gifts in kind. A poster printing company can prepare materials to help kick start a campaign by increasing public awareness.
Rita's will be opening for the upcoming season on Friday, February 13. It is located at 755 George Avenue in Woodbridge.
