Clark schedules grass clipping pickups

Residents of Clark will soon be returning to the annual seasonal ritual of mowing their lawns, and the area's Department of Public Works will once again be running its grass clippings pickup program.

This seasonal clean-up will take place once each week during its scheduled months, and to help keep everything running smoothly, some simple rules have been set. The schedule for the program runs from May through October.

Local households with grass clippings to dispose of have been asked to place them in biodegradable yard waste Bags before placing them curbside – plastic Bags will not be permitted. Violation letters will be sent by the Department to anyone who does not follow these policies.

To help ease the load while keeping local gardens in great shape, property owners are asked to consider mulching their own grass, as this will recycle the nutrients as it breaks down. It can also be helpful when it comes to conserving water.

Communities tend to have set schedules for services such as trash pickup. Copies can be sent out to local households, and they are often paired with themed fridge magnets or other small Promotional Products.

Clark’s schedule of grass pickups runs from May 5 through October 6. More details about the dates and how to participate can be found on the Our Clark website.
